Sometimes its just pays off to be photographer. I went to visit the BMW Welt in Munich in January this year to see their collection of M5’s. However, all of them were gone when as soon as I got there. Disappointed I entered the second floor and there it was. I discovered a bright red car on the second floor, a TOURING that I just knew could only be the new i5 Touring.
As I finally got to it, one of the employees told me that it had been the day of its premiere and that I was extremely lucky as no one was there to see it right now and allowed me to take some pictures. After my last projects with the M3 Tourings I was excited to see the worlds first fully electric Touring by BMW and I was not disappointed.
The car was equipped with BMW aftermarket performance parts which, as I learned, will only be fitted to the car by your dealership and not by the factory. This meant, as it was a demo vehicle, owned by BMW, it must have been one if not the first i5 M60 Touring with performance parts ever and definitely a 1 of 1 spec at the moment. The little rear spoiler and the huge diffusor just make it so much more aggressive than the base i5 Touring and I liked every piece of it. The interior was also extremely nice with an all new LED bar in the center console that appeared to have had 3D applications in it. An absolute banger.
